We've known Gia for a long time, having photographed her multiple times on a variety of jobs and projects. Our move to Long Beach last year brought us closer together, as she lives in Escondido. Her boyfriend Nick is a luthier and furniture designer and they both share a love for their garden, fruit trees, plants and flowers. We spent a beautiful day talking about art while eating freshly picked guavas, black walnuts and macadamia nuts. We even went to see Niki de St Phalle’s Queen Califia’s sculpture garden on our way out, a pure public art gem.
